Dear Residents,

The Board of Directors and Doral Management wish you all a Happy Independence Day Celebration!

As you know, fireworks and barbecues are an American tradition. However, fireworks can be very dangerous. Under Florida law, only (some) sparklers, approved by the Florida Division of State Fire Marshal, are legal for consumer usage. Anything that propels itself through the air, detonates or explodes is illegal in Miami-Dade County for consumer use. The safest way to enjoy fireworks is at a public firework display such as the ones by the City of Doral at Doral Central Park on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm which promises to be quite impressive. Please remember that fireworks are not allowed in the community’s common areas. If you will be using sparklers at your private property, please follow these simple common-sense guidelines to make sure your family stays safe:

• Use sparklers in an open area in a paved surface, away from grassy and vegetated areas.
• Light one firework at a time and move away quickly. Fireworks should never be held or thrown. Remain a safe distance away from the device and never attempt to relight or alter malfunctioning fireworks.
• Keep a hose and bucket of water nearby.
• If clothes catch fire, remember to STOP, DROP onto the ground, cover your face, and ROLL over and over until the fire goes out.
Please see below 4th of July road closure flyer, which may affect some of you, as well as the locations where residents can obtain transportation to and from the event via the City’s trolley system.
Thank you all in advance and we hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July holiday!
